^ In my case it is happening in the normal Thread lists for a Forum, as well as in the Thread's I've Posted In list.

It is repeatable for any given Thread. I.e., if it fails, it always fails, and if it works, it always works.

For Threads where it fails, if you add a Reply post, you ALSO end up at the TOP of the page where that post has been added -- rather than at that new post itself.

For my account, a Thread that fails is Blu-ray Players forum > Official OPPO BDP-105 Owner's Thread.

And a thread that works without problem is Forum Operations Center forum > Needs To Be Fixed Thread.

Bob, in your case I see your last access to the OPPO Owner's thread as 2014-06-18 15:58:17, so a few hours ago. Have you checked it more recently? Still collecting data here.

Any thoughts on the search for "At Most" 0 reply threads? There used to be a link in the menu that took us to "Unanswered Threads"... it was a great place to go and help out/welcome new forum users or contribute to new topics.
We just tested an at most 0 replies advanced search and it's working now.

OK, I just checked the Official OPPO BDP-105 Owner's Thread using the right pointing icon to the right of my name in the Last Post column. I checked it both from the Thread's I've Posted In list and from the Blu-ray Player's Forum list.

(As it turns out, there have been no newer posts since I made my latest post in there.)

In both cases that icon took me to the top of page 371 rather than to the last post which is well down that page.

ETA: In the Forum's Thread list, there's also a right pointing icon to the right of the Thread Title. That too takes me to the top of page 371 instead of to the actual last post well down that page.

Responding a bit late, but for me it's on Safari (ipod and ipad).

I copied and pasted the links and looked at them in notepad. The #postXXX suffix at the end of the URL is simply not there when the problem happens. Weird that Safari alone would cause this symptom.

Thank you SO much for looking into this, BTW.

Thanks everyone for the feedback on the last post issue. It seems to be isolated to Apple/Safari (desktop+mobile). We're digging.

Yep, works now. Many thanks!

Well... it works... but I can't get it to refresh.

I performed an Advanced Search for threads with at most 0 replies... and I got the results I expected.

But if I try to perform the search again I get the same results as before and the upper right of the search page tells me the "Search took 31.58 seconds; generated 37 minute(s) ago."

This used to be much easier when we had an "Unanswered Threads" menu item. Can we get that back again?

Was the "New Posts" menu link intended to serve the same function as the old "Unanswered Threads"? Right now it does the same thing as the "Active Threads" menu link which seems redundant.

For the sake of the DIY community it would be nice if .WDR files could be added to the list of acceptable file types to upload. Right now the workaround is to make the file .WDR.TXT and then delete when you download but would be nice if it could be added for winisd modelling purposes

-Sorry if this has already been mentioned/addressed

What you're use to is refreshing (or even launching a bookmark) by parameters that resulted in newer results.

What we have now is a UNIQUE id on the end of each search.. that eventually expires.

therefore when you refresh the page, you get the last ran 35 min ago with the same results
example
HTML Code:
http://www.avsforum.com/forum/search.php?searchid=253378

It's good, but 90% of the time I'm just checking my list of subscribed threads, not the list of threads in a particular forum. So will the preview also work in that case?

The longer popup preview itself is great, but maybe the short excerpt for the last post in each thread is not short enough and makes the last post column too wide (with the side effect that the thread column becomes narrower and will wrap more often and waste vertical space).

Quick update on this - the cause appears to be Safari's inability to follow anchors (#postid in the URL) when changing between pages.

Examples of this bug: https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24175

We're working on a way around it, but at least we have it narrowed down to the affected browser (Safari) and that it's something we can reproduce.

Who you calling no one? Life goes on as before for most of us.

You got specific problems, post details that can be used in diagnosis.

I hate to be the one to inform you (in case you didn't know), but change is a part of life. It is at the very core and essence of being alive.

Agreed, Bill!

Make the most of the situation and be positive, poppagene. If you (re)read the first post in this thread Scott clearly explained the website's ownership changed hands. Huddler is NOT coming back. Stop whining and adapt to the new situation that is presented to all of us. Change is good!

Something I'd like users to test - if you are on an iPhone or mac, can you try a different non-Safari browser to see if the problem goes away? We are 90% sure that is the issue (and we can reproduce it in our tests) but it would be great if we had some real world validation.

Can I get rid of the clickable quotes? If I want to select a partial text from one and I can't...

On other Forums just clicking the user that you are quoting from takes you back to the original post, in here ALL the text is clickable all the time...

Ya, the quoting mechanism is all messed up. Quotes have now become links and even the poster's new text is a link. Whatever was "fixed" with quotes has been drastically broken.

"What do you say Beckett. Wanna have a baby?" - Castle to Det. Beckett
"How Long have I been gone?" Alexis after arriving home and seeing Castle and Beckett w/ the baby - Castle - 11/25/13
