Hard to narrow down. I do like movies that make noise, look good, make you think or not, and are out of the ordinary. Movies that are well written and acted are generally my first choice though I have enjoyed movies that have neither. Action, Sy/Fy and thillers are at the top of my list. Horror, comedy and documenties at the bottom.

I love all of the Syfy disaster movies like Category 7 and 10.5. I also watch the killer animal/monster movies like dinocroc or Sharknato. Only like 2 more weeks for Sharknato 2 to be on. Can't wait.

That category got nullified by popular demand and separated/Drama. And soon to be divorced/Horror.

Horror for all the unwed mothers and dead beat dads.
Drama
for the sake of staggering divorce rate.
/sarcasm on: due to SpikeTV for desensitize Men (or women that think like Men) and LifestyleTV for the soft-serve platitudes to Women (or men who think like Women).

We'll keep /sarcasm on for a bit.

My most-played audio is the Lon Chaney-esque test tones from the McIntosh (Lyngdorf) Room Perfect system

What a life...

Ok, to be a legitimate contributor to this thread, I voted Action/Adventure. My theater seems to be wasted watching mostly monophonic Woody Allen movies...

I voted action/adventure but the reality of it is I watch pretty much any movie with a good story to tell. This may include a chic flick. I do avoid horror films these days. To real for me the last ten years. I have looked at scenes in a few and thought, this could really happen! Anyway good poll.

I love it how so much of this depends on the amount of adrenaline the genre usually produces in us... A neutral, thoughtful experience like Documentary/Biography is basically ignored, while adrenaline-pumping Action/Adventure is the top choice.
