Hey Scott,

Cool idea! Here is a pic of my room for consideration. I am about 30 minutes north of downtown Dallas.

One note that might be of interest to you is that Dennis and I are currently working on a Trinnov (Atmos, Auro3D, DTS: X) upgrade that is scheduled to be completed in time for CEDIA.

My build thread link is in my signature if you want more details about equipment, etc. Thanks!

Never knew there were so many great theaters from AVS members in the area! I've got a lot of ideas and inspiration for when I finally get a house.

I may not be done by the July 29th deadline. But here is a pic of my theater. It's 100% DIY. Four months worth of week nights and weekends. My two hobbies (Home Theater and Woodworking) worked hand-in-hand.

Had to retrofit some indoor/outdoor speakers for the Dolby Atmos/DTS:X configuration as I have no attic access for regular ceiling speakers. But the AW-650 has the same tweeter as the rest of my Klipsch speakers. The two things left are the receivers that handles Atmos & DTS:X and new carpet which I'm subbing out. The carpet guys will take three weeks.

I live about 45 minutes north of downtown Dallas (Celina, TX).

I can post updated photos if need but looks pretty much the same except for the new seating. Would love for you to stop by even if my room is not picked. Thanks!!!

WOW, That room looks really nice!!!!

Congrats on the nice setup.

Okay, it's decision time. There are four entries near Dallas in this thread from Bigham16, davidhuse78, KBlaw2010, and nosdude. All four are outstanding rooms and entirely worthy of Home Theater of the Month; in fact, I plan to feature all of them in future HToMs.

But for this particular project, in which I will shoot video while I'm in Dallas for CEDIA, I've selected the home theater of KBlaw2010. Congratulations, and I look forward to visiting your home theater in October!

Great choice, Scott. The best home theater I've ever experienced. You're in for a real treat, especially with the forthcoming upgrades.

Great news, Kris! Do you plan to use P8s for your Atmos channels? I can't imagine how much better your room will sound, given the 3D audio quality of your 9.2 system!

Hey Tim, waiting on the final plans from Dennis. I know we are using Trinnov, but not sure whether he will spec P8s, P6s, or P5s.

You'll have to come out for another test drive when we get it up and running!

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Trinnov.

Bigham16's home theater looks extraordinary exquisite, also like how delicate the pillows placed on the sofa.
