Do You Have a Dedicated Home Theater in Las Vegas, NV?

Can you believe that 2015 is almost over and it's time to start planning for CES? In addition to covering the show this January, I hope to find a dedicated home theater in the Las Vegas area that I can visit to shoot video and interview the owner as part of an upcoming Home Theater of the Month.

If you live in or near Las Vegas and would like your home theater to be considered for this project, I invite you to post a photo or two in this thread over the next four weeks. Soon after December 1, I'll contact the member whose theater I select to make the arrangements. The shoot will take place on Sunday, January 10, 2016.

I look forward to seeing what Las Vegas has to offer in the way of awesome home theaters!

That's a great idea Scott. Enjoyed the Last theater review of Kblaw's theater in Texas.

My memory is failing but I faintly remember some avs member having a Keith Yates designed theater in Vegas...not sure who it is but hopefully someone else can chime in!

Hi Scott,

For your consideration - our theater in Vegas.

JVC RS-1 (to be replaced after CES).
5 - UREI 809 speakers
2 - 18" Custom subs.
Stewart 4 way masking.
Half of seating antique '50's pulled from working theater.

I'm out of town and don't have any great shots of theater with me. Will upload some current and better shots next week.

Dont know if my theater (Twilight Zone) would qualify as Dedicated home theater since have pinballs in back of theater. But anyway, I think the most unusual aspect of theater are (2) 5' x 7' smart glass panels (total 7' x 10' foot smart glass area) mounted in the ceiling to conceal (opaque) , and then reveal (turned on to clear) star ceiling panels. The theater is automated via Control4, has acoustic panels on wall surfaces, with automated matching custom drape panels. Main components of theater include Sony VPL-VW1100ES, 130" ST 130 Stewart fixed screen, Sony STR-ZA 3000ES AVR, Sony FMPX10 4K media player.

Finally back from vacation.

Here are some more shots of the theater. Some of the colors didn't come out too well with my phone camera.
The last row of seats were removed from an old 50's movie theater where we had our wedding.
On the ceiling, the projector is covered with a section of sonotube.
Outside the theater, on the left, is on old elevator control that is now the DMX lighting scene controller.

I checked with Keith Yates, but unfortunately, he has not designed a theater in Vegas.
