Thanks Mark! I haven't uploaded any pics or details about the Listening Room... yet! Even though the room is finished, we are still doing a bit of wiring (the speakers & analog equipment aren't hooked up yet) - but when we're 100% done, I'll upload some photos!

Actually, nothing (which for me is kinda remarkable). If you told me this is the theater & the equipment I'd have to live with for the rest of my life, I'd be happy with that. That's weird for me because I'm such a tinkerer, always wondering, "Gee, it's good but if only I had 'this' I'd be happier."

Not feeling that, at least not yet. I haven't updated the firmware since I got the 5000 and I haven't set up the pj to do HDR mostly because with my 19' screen, I wasn't sure there'd be enough lumens to do it properly. But in a couple of weeks, we're going to try & set it up (& update the firmware). I'm a little worried cause it looks so good now... (you know, if it ain't broke)

WOW. In a famous movie quote, someone once said, 'Impressive...Most Impressive' That is one heck-of-a-theater by ANY STANDARDS. Well done, and Bravo!

Watch "2001" with Keir Dullea in the Hahn Theater!

I wanted to let you know that the Westport Country Playhouse (Westport, CT) is having a gala next Saturday (9/9) and is auctioning off a screening in my theater of "2001" with Keir Dullea (the star of the movie) in attendance, to be followed by a talkback/interview & a dinner with him in my home. The silent auction is open to the public & I thought there might be some forum members who'd be interested in this. (Proceeds from the auction benefit the playhouse).

I live in Weston, CT, about an hour from NYC. The bidding closes on 9/9 but the event can take place whenever we all agree is a good time!

Here's the link: https://www.wcpgala.com/lite-ui/#lots/show/23

I built this theater specifically to show films like "2001" in a proper environment... It's kinda unbelievable that the star of "2001" will be watching the film with us in my theater and we can ask him any questions we want, in a private setting - then have dinner with him!

No pressure of course - just thought it might be of interest!
