I posted this in its own thread but figured I may get a response here. My harmony is causing weird issues with my TV.
I am using a 700 with a Hisense 55H8C, Cisco DVR, and Vizio soundbar. Currently the watch tv activity works fine, optical from dvr to sound bar, no sound issues. Now if I switch activities and go from watch tv to watch smart tv, any app I go to has audio out of sync. TV is hooked to sound bar via optical out from tv similar to DVR. I can fix it by going into the settings and going from optical out DD to Off then back to DD. If I am in the watch tv activity, and use the Hisense remote or the device functions to go directly to smart TV functions, there are no sync issues, so it looks like somehow the remote activity switching is causing this in some obscure way, I have no idea.
Similarly, if I go from watch smart TV to watch TV, the sound output of the DVR goes from Dolby Digital to HDMI and I have to manually switch at back so that it uses the optical output directly to the sound bar rather than HDMI through the TV then to the bar.
I was on the phone with Logitech for 1 1/2 hours on Saturday trying different things, and nothing worked.
I can't for the life of me figure out what the problem might be. The best I did so far is create two sequences and mapped those to on screen functions that run through the button sequences to fix the problems using the DVR and/or TV menus.
Another unrelated issue is getting my SPDIF switch to turn off when the system powers down. It does not have discrete functions that I am aware of (options in the setup). The device always turns on perfectly, but does not want to shut down. If I use the help menu, it shuts down fine.
Any thoughts or input would be great!
