Just in case, you can always turn on with IR.

Hey guys I just found Roomie this morning and started playing with it. A few quick questions:

My Integra 80.2 processor works with every command I give it, except power on. Does it support that with Roomie?

I cannot get RadioRa2 to operate with it. I give it the IP of my controller, but it tells me that 1) it wants a username and password for RadioRa, which I have never set up, and dont see where to, and 2) Once it has a Lutron device showing, clicking on that just brings me to a screen with a simple light on / light off, that doesnt work. How do I get it to see all my different Lutron dimmers, etc? Do I have to have the Lutron lighting IOS app as well for some reason? Right now my Lutron set up is very basic with 4 dimmers and a single keypad for the theater only. I set it up myself with the RadioRa essentials software.

For the Imtegra, make sure Network Control is enabled in the network settings - the default port should be working since everything else seems to be.

Does anyone know if the Oppo BDP-93 should work if I have NOT updated the firmware (which I won't do because of ISO removal) ? Roomie finds it, but no controls work. Since I dont have the Oppo hooked to a tv currently I cant go into its menus and see if there is any "network control" settings there.

As far as I know you don't need to update the firmware but I could be wrong. I would try it first without updating it. You need to select Oppo IP series in Roomie & you can not power it on via IP.

Well I powered it on manually but nothing works. Roomie found it and I installed it as a device and it says BDP-93 automatically and also "all models IP". But no controls work. Maybe that firmware is necessary.

I just downloaded the official Oppo IOS remote and it didnt find the player on the network at all, so given that Roomie finds it, there may just be some setting that isnt set right that is keeping it from working.

I think the 93 is ir and rs232 only so you will need a separate controller. I do not believe the 93 supports IP control. The 103 and 105 do.

Didnt even know that existed. So the IOS app works for the 93 via IP?

It's possible that the latest firmware enables IP control. Oppo hasn't said much about it every time I've contacted them about IP control they just keep telling me they are working on the protocols and will post them to their website when they are finalized. Try adding the Oppo manually using the IP address & port 19999, then select IP models.

Yeah says it does...

Description
Control your OPPO Blu-ray Player from any iOS device!
This is the first version of the OPPO Remote app for OPPO Blu-ray Disc Players. It works with the OPPO BDP-93, BDP-95 and later player models. (BDP-83, BDP-80 and DVD players are not supported.) The controlling iOS device must be connected to the same network as the Blu-ray player. Requires that the latest firmware is installed on the Blu-ray player. To obtain the latest player firmware, please visit OPPO Digital's web site.

Known limitation:
- The player must be turned on and connected to the network before it can be controlled by this app. The app can turn off the player but once the player is off, it cannot be turned on from the app since the player is disconnected from the network when it is off.

Yeah no big deal if I just need to get the serial adapter to make it work. Much better than removing my ISO support!

Yes, Oppo released the iOS app the day before Roomie released v1.7.

Gave that a try myself. Doesn't seem to work for IP. IR with controller works fine though. Is port 19999 also valid for the 103?

There is also an Oppo "media control" app for android that allows navigating attached usb devices from a phone. But that app specifically does say firmware BDP9x-74-0908, not just "latest". So real IP control may very well require that. Too bad.

Control media playback on your OPPO Blu-ray player from your phone.
This is the first experimental version of the OPPO Media Control app for BDP-93/95 Blu-ray players. In addition to being used as a remote control, this app can navigate locally-attached and network-shared media files and control their playback.
Requires OPPO BDP-93 or BDP-95 Blu-ray Disc player with firmware version BDP9x-74-0908.

Yes I have the 103 & am using port 19999, it will not auto discover my Oppo in Roomie.

From what I figured out with my Pioneer SC-37 is that I had to create a new activity & select my AVR for Zone 2. Try this & report back.

Were you able to get Roomie to work with your 93? I sold my 93 when I bought my 103 so I have not been able test it. Roomie is getting a 103 soon to test. I was the first to test & report back to them with info on using Roomie with the 103.

I didn't test it yet. I will later today but the auto-discovery did detect my 103 so suspect it should work.

Correct, only the 103 can be powered on via IP from standby.

Are you at the latest firmware or getting it to work with an older one?

Version 1.7.1 was released today, which was supposed to fix some bugs. I was hoping it would fix Roomie not auto detecting my Oppo, but no such luck. No big deal, because it still works manually.
