Try assigning 00229 to the OK Select button in AUX mode using the 994 command.

This instruction worked ...perfect .. The ok button on my comcast remote now will work for my lg blue ray player..
Just folloe the link that this guy put on..and go to section 994.here is what i did.
Assign Effective Function Code (EFC) from another device

1. PRESS and HOLD the SETUP button until the red LED flashes twice, then RELEASE.
2. TAP 9 - 9 - 4.
3. TAP the "from" DEVICE button (eg, TV)
4. TAP the SETUP button
5. TYPE the 3 or 5 digit EFC code (aka "advanced code)
6. TAP the "to" DEVICE button (eg, VCR)
7. TAP the "to" regular button (eg, VOL+) - two Blinks

Thanks...five digit code i used was the one he gave. !! it worked perfect...

So I have the same problem but with a Panasonic BR player (BD-65). It was given to me without the BR remote. I got the platinum remote to do everything but the select button. I can get the 9-9-4 thing to work. Using a Vizio TV if that matters.

thanks

(hopefully some see this thread I know its old).

Ok so I did the 994 install. Now the select button works BUT it turns off the Blu Ray instead of "select". anyone see this?

The EFC number depends on the setup code being used. So instructions for a LG Blu-ray won't work with a Panasonic. Here's exact instructions. Note that the instructions posted earlier by dking paul are different--those only worked by coincidence.

Assuming you're using setup code 20490 (use the setup code blink back instructions if you're not sure:
1) Press AUX
2) Press Setup until 2 blinks
3) Enter 994 (2 blinks)
4) Tap Setup (don't hold it)
5) Enter 00191
6) Press OK/Select
The remote should blink twice to indicate the procedure worked.
