Hello all! This may sound like a stupid question but I just received a 3-eye emitter for my nextgen RF extender. I was under the assumption that the double sided tape included should be stuck to the flat side of the emitter and then directly on the surface of the component. Is this correct? I had some problems with the tape not sticking at all so I asked the supplier to send three more out. They were adamant that the emitter is supposed to be stuck to the flat side but that the actual signal comes from the curved side so that its purpose is to stick to the cabinet and not the component itself.

Sorry if this is a dumb question and thank you very much for the help! Chad

Anyone with thoughts on this? Sure would be appreciated! Basically I just really need to know if the eye emits towards the curved area or the flat side. Here is a link to the 3 eye emitter for reference.

Thank you!!

Don't know, but you can easily check yourself. Just look at it through a digital camera and see what glows (tried my iPhone and it didn't work, so you need a real camera). My guess is light is emitted in all directions like any LED.
