Hi Guys,

I have a Panasonic AE7000U with unterminated Cat5 running from it to my rack. I'm trying to use an ITach to Serial adapter to control the projector via RS-232 with the roomie remote.

How do I terminate both ends from cat5e to serial plug. I've read about DB-9 to RJ45 connectors but they all come "unpin". I really don't know how to do the pin out or should I do it another way?

Thanks

1) You definitely want RJ45-DB9 adapters. Something like this one
2) The pinout depends on each device. Most devices can use the Null Modem without handshaking cable shown here
