Hey Guys, i am new to the Harmony remotes. Just wondering which is the most typically used and what i should look for when purchasing one.

Typical is meaningless Count your devices and pick the cheapest model that can handle that number. Go up to the next model for more bells and whistles (rechargeable, touch screen, etc.). If you want RF or a touch screen look at the 900 and 1100. There is a comparison chart in my signature. IMO Xsight remotes are better overall (more devices and more features) and cheaper than harmony. URC remotes are better and more expensive. But as always, you get what you pay for.

I agree with mdavej at least about the Logitech remotes. I do not know about the others he mentioned. Think about what and how many devices you want to control and narrow that down to a remote.

Also if you dont care about new vs used...check craigslist

I picked up 1100 for 140 - I missed one on there for 125
and a 700 for 50
