I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this question or not but I'll give it a shot. We have a room with a Crestron TPS-4500 (yes it is old) and the touch screen is failing. The touch zones are 'drifting' slowly south and we can no longer touch the lower row of buttons. Reseting the touch zones does not help. I bought a used TPS-4500 from eBay and now I'm going to try to repair the old unit. My question is...
- Is it possible to load the old software on the 'new' unit? We have the disc with the code but I'm not sure how to load it if that is even possible without proprietary Crestron software.
- Is it possible to swap the old processor board into the 'new' unit? Where does the program reside in the hardware?
- Is it possible to swap the touch screen onto the old base? I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to do this but was looking for anyone who has taken one these apart.
Thanks for any help.
