I have one of these remotes but have gotten a new laptop. I re-installed the software, but when I login, it has me going through the entire process of adding rooms and components and stuff all over again. Obviously I don't want to do this because it took forever the first time. I had thought since it's web-based, my info would be saved on their server; isn't that the whole point of it?

Anyway, isn't there a way I can have it load all the settings from my remote itself? The software has me stuck at step 3, which is "click next to update your remote for network setup". I'm afraid to connect my remote for fear that, since the software doesn't seem to have any of my activities and devices saved, it will erase them from my remote as well.

I thought maybe I was using the wrong login, but when I did the "forgot password" option and it asked me to connect my remote to get the info from there, it said "Login ID: Account not found. Please ensure you have connected the correct remote."

Any suggestions?

I am actually being forced to get a new remote even though this one is less than a year old. The "component controls" button no longer works, so I can't access my devices, so any functions not set up in an activity are entirely inaccessible to me. The select knob is also failing; half the time I can't navigate to the right.

Monster will not honor the warranty because even though I bought it from Buy.com, an authorized dealer, the seller was apparently actually "Deal Zone", who is not. So I think I'm moving on to a URC R50, but in the meantime I need to be able to add some functions to the Monster so I can then use it to teach the URC. Convoluted, I know.
