I have a Bose soundbar that is controlled by an RF remote. Does anyone know how I enable IR mode so I can use a universal remote? If I can't enable IR, what universal remotes can I use that use RF to control the soundbar as well as a Samsung TV and BD player? It's a fairly simple setup, but the RF Bose Remote is throwing everything off.

Any thoughts? This is supposed to be a gift for my MIL, so I need to figure something out soon.

AFAICT your soundbar has no IR mode. And there is no such thing as universal remote for RF devices. All universal RF remotes only work with their own RF base. Bottom line is you're stuck with the Bose remote. You may want to consider a different sound bar that has IR.

Bose's strategy is to package a universal remote with the product and expect you to use that with all of your other products instead of the other way around. The easiest way to go about it would be to program the Bose remote to handle the TV and Blu-ray player.
