Just looking for a reality check here. I read in reviews that the MX-5000 had pretty awful battery life, but I think I might be beyond that. I can take the remote out of the cradle for a max of 10 hours or so, 8 if I am using it. I turned off wifi, reduced vibration sensitivity, and turned the screen brightness down in the settings, and still if I leave it out even just while I am at work and nothing is on, I come back to a dead remote. Even if it spent 10 hours sitting undisturbed on the coffee table.

I've worked for device companies before and know there are just bum batteries out there, and this seems to be that way.

Anyone have any ideas?

For the record, I got the remote in July, so it's only 5mo old.

I have a couple of these and they're almost always put back in the cradle after use. IIRC, there was still battery when left out overnight. I'll try to remember to leave one out tonight and see what charge I have left in the morning.

Thanks for the info - that's very helpful. Would take more than 2 full charges for me to get to that. Going to contact URC and get a replacement battery.
