I have a situation where I need to be able to switch in between many different RCA connections to one TV. It is in an out of reach location where having one with buttons or a turn knob will not work. I cant use an auto one because the signal is always going to the TV with the different connections. So instead of using a ladder to change it I am looking for a networked one so I can change it from any computer on the network. Is there such a device out there? I spent hours on Google and now I am here.

Many ones with RS-232 connections. That's still the normal way for system integrators. Also is possible to use USB.

If you are looking for RJ-45 Ethernet, then I haven't seen any.

Try searching using "audio video switcher remote" as your keywords (or maybe insert "composite" instead of "audio video") - there are lots of different options, depending on how much you want to spend.

Edit: Sorry - just re-read your post and saw you're looking for a networked version - definitely a rarer beast!

How about the least expensive AVR with network support (and therefore, an "app" these days)? Onkyo and others have published the API, so easily controlled with a computer, too (with a little programming).

I will ask if thy want to go with the avr. I work for a security company and we have a lot of AVRs here. I wanted to avoid that to try to keep the price down but if it is that rare I doubt it will be cheap if it dose exist.
Thanks for the advice.
