I currently have a 650 and I just bought an Echo dot and it's been fun so far. I'm looking into integrating my HT with Echo/Alexa, and I think the Logitech Hub would be the easiest for me to setup since I'm already familiar (and love) my 650.
I can see the Hub + Smart Control is on sale right now for $60. And the Ultimate will go on sale tonight via Amazon Prime Day. The $60 for the Hub + Smart Control seems like a great price, since the Hub alone by itself usually goes for $80+. I was just wondering though if I would miss the extra buttons via the screen on the 650, or if the Smart Control would be able to handle my needs?
I'm also wondering if I should grab the Ultimate instead. Although to be honest I'm not digging the layout. I like the looks of the Elite more, but I unfortunately can't afford one at the moment.
Or would it be possible to use the Hub in conjunction with my existing 650? I'm assuming the answer is No, since if I use Echo/Hub to set an activity, the remote would not know about the activity and I won't be able to use the remote.
Currently I have my TV, NVidia Shield, and Denon AVR that I control via my 650. I have activities built to go to my PS4 or PS3 inputs as well.
