I have 7 Direct TV boxes located in an I.T. cabinet 25 feet down a hall and away from the TVs. I can not see what is on the TV to change or cycle through the channels. When I want to use the remote to access the guide it is impossible as the TVs and boxes become operative. Can I lock the remote somehow to each box respectively? Are there any other solutions? When we loose power or boxes reset due to storms all boxes end up on same channel. This is a big pain with no remote access.

The current line of receivers have 8 remote IR addresses. Or you could switch each to RF mode.
