Set up code needed for Sony CFD-G50 (boombox) using Atlas OCAP 1056B01 remote

I thought this would be easy but...

I'm trying to program a remote for a Sony boombox, model CFD-G50, which can be operated with a remote.

I've found files on JP1 remote for similar boomboxes, but they state a set up code of 1415, which the OCAP is not accepting. I've tried all other codes, and a manual 9-9-1 search hasn't turned up anything.

Does anyone know a set up code for this Sony, with the Atlas? I will manually enter EFCs if I can find a code that will work.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that I bought all this "stuff" to enjoy it!

The actual UEI Setup code is Audio 0415-- the JP1ers just added the leading one to distinguish it from the official setup code. Anyway, the 1056B01 doesn't have 0415 either. The JP1 resources here are the Sony page which shows device numbers and OBCs, or JP1-Master-1.11, which shows you which upgrades have device codes 68 and 100, and finally the Lookup Tool, which tells you that Audio 0415 is the corresponding setup code and also that the Atlas doesn't have it.

However, (and you just have to know this part) the Atlas carries the Sony 12/15/20 Combo executor, which can send any Sony12 or Sony15 signal. So we can use EFCs with one of the setup codes which shoot Sony Combo 12/15/20. Find these with the Lookup Tool. For example Audio 1058, 1258, 1558, 1758, or 1858.

I generated a "Sony Boombox Master" upgrade including nearly all of the OBCs from the Sony page.

Here are the corresponding EFCs--of course it is unlikely that your Boombox will respond to all of these commands.

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

This was driving me crazy! I have to commend you 3FG; you've come through once again. I remember your help many years ago with my first Sony HTIB set up. In fact, you're the one that "got me into remotes"!!!

You're correct that not all of the codes work, but enough do that this will work for my father-in-law to use. I wanted to stick with the OCAP for the larger buttons and back lighting to be more eyesight friendly.

Thanks again!
