Question Wife approved remote control with macros?

Hello,

I am looking for a wife approved easy to use physical remote to control my home theater. Can't really use ipad or iphone as she is not a fan having to turn it on just to turn up volume. My harmony 880 left a bad taste in both of our mouths as it constantly had problems.

My setup,

Dish hopper
Sony xbr9 tv
Sony es bluray player
Pioneer elite sc-71.
Raspberry pi running xbmc (using hdmi-cec for control)
Xbox 360

Everything is wired through the receiver, so macros are a must to set the input. I had high hopes that cec would be able to turn on receiver and set the input like the Joey does with my soundbar in the other room. It seems like the pioneer is having some cec issues with the hopper.

Thanks

A $13 JP1 remote like the RCA RCRP05BR can too. Add Next Gen if you want RF. Add a JP1 cable to program from a PC.

Sony RM-VLZ620. It's a bit less "smart", so it's a bit trickier to set up, but it's fully programmable and has macros. I actually like using it more than my Harmony.
