Exclamation Do I have the right remote?

I just installed 3 TV's on a wall with 3 directv receivers. I have an xbox one, receiver, Blu-ray player, maybe pc and ps3 and want to control all with a remote.

I am putting all the equipment and directv receivers behind the wall the TV's are mounted on so nothing will be on the wall except the TV's. There is a space behind the wall like a hallway so I can get everything behind it.

I bought a Harmony Ultimate, but is this the one to do what I want? Control all 3 TV's and directv boxes and the equipment?

It will work ok, but you'll need some extra blasters in order to control everything and isolate the TVs from each other. You may have to do some creative wiring since the Ultimate only works with a couple of blasters out of the box. If you can make the hub line of sight with all three receivers and assign them all different addresses, you can get by with no blasters on those.

In any case, using one remote for all three TVs is going to be awkward at best. Just imagine the logistics of trying to cram the basic functions of all on one screen or switching back and forth among them. If this is in your home, not in a bar or restaurant, then I'd actually go for an iPad based control like iRule where you have plenty of screen real estate to control everything from one screen.

I would think a URC MX-780 (or 890 or 1200) remote and RF to IR basestation (or possibly a MSC-400) would be a better option. The remote would transmit RF to the basestation and then be converted to IR. The flasher would be placed on the devices and each flasher port can be assigned to a different device. That would give you the option to assign each TV/receiver pair a different IR output so they can be controlled independently. Other companies make similar but this is the one I'm familiar with.
