If anyone has been successful in getting the Xfinity X11 voice controller remote to turn a Yamaha RX-V663 receiver on and off and control the volume, I would be very grateful if you could step me through the process. I have tried all the codes that Comcast provides as well as their "Setup + 992 + channel up" search approach in an attempt to locate the correct code with no success. Please let me know if you have a solution. Thank you.
You will not find a single code that powers your Yamaha both on & off, its one or the either, never both with single code. Because of yamaha's use of two-key power scheme, one command for on, and another for standby.
You try each code with Yamaha both on & off? If its on, code with on command would seem not to work. And volume is probably being over ridden by the tv volume out of the box.
I have tried with both the Yamaha RX-V663 ON and with it OFF. I have tried entering the "toggle" code and the "discrete" codes, neither approach works. After entering the (($ code the X11 blinks green twice. No matter what I type after pressing and releasing the setup ke after the remote blinks twice registers. No indication of anything and when I test the buttone, they do nothing.
If you're referring to advanced codes, you're probably trying them on remote that doesn't accept them, newer UEI remotes don't.
