AV Closet - 4 Cox Cable Mini Boxes

Hello All

Hoping for some help.

Cox started their new mini-box requirement (Cisco DTA250 if I recall correctly) in my area this year. The box was rumored to have RF built in after talking for 12 hours and finally getting a hold of their RF remote (3320) it seems IR is only thing turned on. I have 12 TVs throughout the house so I had to grab 4 of them initially (1 box can control multiple TVs) and decided to dust off my Harmony 1000 Remote with an RF extender to control them so that I don't have to get even more boxes to control all of my TVs. This extender has 4 IR mini ports on it, so I have an IR hooked to each port and to each cable box. Depending on which TV I wanted to control I could limit the IR codes to the specific port. This solution works great except I cannot but any other remotes except on the used market. So looking at a new solution.

The problem is it looks like all of the new stuff sends the IR codes across everything, built in IR and ports (i.e. Logitech Hub replacement).

Does anyone know of a solution for a case where I have multiple of the same Cable Box controlled in another room without just having to buy 4 main hub/main units?

Thanks
