you can read what I wrote in this thread http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...hreadid=210929

BTW if you want you can register on Harmonyremote.com even if you don't have a remote. So you can start configuring and seeing what the programming is like even without the remote

the remotes are good, and powerful (probably the most configurable hard button remotes there is). Most basic setups (i.e. setups that fit most people) are done through wizards (i.e. for watch TV it will ask what display device to use from your list, then what do you use to listen, what do you use to change channels.....). And then the activity is done. You also have sub activities (for instance I used the change button function under my watch TV to add the VCR controls since I tend to watch prerecorded shows during the ads). The remote has good IR range. The only other draw back is that the LCD (not the back light) is always on, so it does tend to eat batteries.

but if there is anything in particular you want to know, just ask.

Out of curiosity, I sent Harmony an email, asking for the above prices. I got a very cordial "no" from them with the explanation that that was a show price only, and then, only for dealers and reps, supposedly. I can't knock me for trying. :D

Anyone using a Harmony remote with a Samsung DLP set? I logged on to their web page and found out that the HLM series of Samsung sets is not covered. :(

If your particular model or brand is not listed in the current Harmony database, you can learn the IR from your Samsung's remote to the database. It will usually match that up with an existing code set that will work. Even if that fails, there's still the ability to learn each individual command into your configuration.

Enjoy!

I sent Harmony Support an email, and they said the Samsung DLP codes would be moved into the library this week. :) Looks like I'm in the market for a Harmony 768.
