Hiya guys. I'm currently playing Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 on PS3 and this is about the V-Synch option in the settings menu.

I also have this problem with Lego Indiana Jones too, when I enable it the screen looks much worser than when I turn it off. Why is this, it should look the opposite?

At the back of my HDTV it says my TV is 50hz, although I've learned that all TVs that say their 50hz, actually also support 60hz. My TVs native res is 1366x768 if that helps.

Am I having this problem because the V-Synch knows my TVs native res is 50hz and is locking at that?

Vsync on is a cleaner image, but at a lower frame rate. 20-30fps judder can feel worse than 35-40fps with nasty tearing all over the place. It just depends on the game and the type of scene.

Play the way that feels better. Early Lego games ran so poorly that tearing was worth the extra smoothness. I don't know about modern ones.

Oh I see, thanks for replying. I thought it was maybe because of the consoles hardware unable to cope with it or my 50hz TV.

When I get around to playing them again I'll put V-Synch on and play it for an hour or two, to see if it feels better or worse ect.
