Hello AVS community, I've been looking for a new hdtv for a while now, looking at reviews and browsing forums and I can't find exactly what I'm looking for. I own a Wii which I use for playing older SNES/GBA games and I guess some wii games. I'm really into speed running old 2D side-scrolling games so input/display lag matters to me. I use a computer monitor when i'm playing these games because on the TV I currently own there is a horrible delay.

So basically, i'm looking for a 50-60 inches HDTV with no 3d/smart tv functions(I simply won't use that) with almost no display lag. The TV will serve mostly for what I was saying before, the wii games on virtual console, but i'll probably buy a ps3 soon and maybe a wii u when good games comes so the TV must look good when an hdmi device is plugged in.

I came across this website this week : http://www.displaylag.com/ which ranks some tvs by input lag and I looked at most of them and the only "good" TV I found had 3d built in.

If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it, thank you

Look at the panasonic tc-p65s64. It does come in various sizes. Plasma is the way to go and this model scores very well for input lag. No 3D, but does have a few smart TV features. This is very similar to the S60 model, but it has an Anti-Reflective coating to combat bright lights reflecting off of the screen. This model is only sold at club stores like Costco. The 65" was $1400 recently there. Not sure of pricing of the other models. Good luck, head to the plasma forum if you want more feedback. Lot of gamers in there. biggrin.gif
