I'm hoping this can solve my dilemma of nvidia not offering ANY control over the built in sound for my GTX 770, so I don't need to resort to an expensive hardware solution. For a the mid range Sony 660 Sound Bar, will this do the trick? Or am I doomed to finding a far more expensive alternative and being forced to maybe even take the sound bar back? Keep in mind, I'm not an audiophile, as long as it sounds better than the crappy built in speakers of my old TV I'll be happy. smile.gif

Yes it works but only in Directsound mode so if you're using ASIO or WASAPI it won't work. Also there's no GUI so you have to download one if you just want to use it as a simple Graphic EQ:

I use it with Room EQ Wizard to generate PEQ filters to flatten out my subs.

I have no idea what ASIO or WASAPI is. I'm trying to find a way to control the sound coming out of my GTX 770. Nvidia is using minimalistic built in sound for its HDMI connections with NO controls for it. Just stock windows options. Seriously... wtf nvidia?

I just installed the first main download and it gave me the option to apply it to the NVIDIA codecs... or drivers... or what ever the heck it said, I forget it was hours ago. I'm about to install what you just linked to. smile.gif

I went where Tch0rT told me to go:

I downloaded the GUI... but woah, this is a lot more complicated than anything I wanted, or at least it seems to be. I just wanted something simple that I wouldn't need to spend a lot of time learning how to use. This is what I'm used to:

That's what I had on my last computer. There's nothing to learn. You just adjust and close out of it. That's it. The changes were applied in real time, and it automatically saved everything.

Unless someone wanted to sit down with me and help me understand this and kinda teach me a little on how to use it, just the basics so I could get a grasp of it... I don't know if I can understand this. frown.gif A message that popped up when I first tried running the GUI on what to do wasn't even in very good English, so now I'm just confused.

Maybe its a lot more simple than I think it is and I'm not understanding it?

You know what... I think I'm going to return the sound bar, and get a receiver and some bookshelf speakers. This is just a mess. With a receiver, I can use a separate sound and video connection.... yeah. I've been posting around different places all over, and a bunch of people have been telling me to do this. I'm finally starting to listen to them. I thought it would be a lot more expensive than it really is to do that.
