The 88's are great. I run 3 for the LCR speakers in my theater.
If they are in your budget I would choose them again.
Maybe 88's up front and Alchemys for the surrounds?

    Why get the 88's?
Clarity - very soft of very loud your will never miss a word of dialog again
Dynamics - be prepared for your system to sing with these!
Efficient - 75 watts was more than enough to get WAY loud in my theater

I really love these speakers and the only down side is these speakers completely out perform my 4 sealed 15's so those are getting upgraded to four ported 18's. This is a good problem to have. Build them, you will love them. Lotta folks on this forum really really love a good tower design and I like towers as well. For my install I needed a shorter high output speaker to place on top of existing cabinets and still fit below the projector screen. The 88's deliver and then some.

Was wondering if you have completed the 88 specials and if so what are your impressions? I am on the fence between these and the Alchemy 8 MTM's for my LCR so I'm looking for any and all input I can get.

    Thanks
