Shouldn't make any difference what so ever as the Dolby Atmos configuration is simply a subset of the 11.1 setup. Also, the max Dolby Atmos setup on the X5200W is 7.1.4 not 5.1.4.

The only 2014 Atmos AVRs < $1000 are the Onkyo models .... 636, 737, and 838 which all have a max capability of Atmos 5.1.2 with only 2 ceiling speakers.

Ah ... then yes, Audyssey and Graphic EQ are indeed bypassed. Better to use a calibrated test tone disc for more accurate results if checking with an SPL meter.
