I'm not sure I understand. 'white' is the peak level of the tv. if the tv is expecting a 16-235 signal, then 235 will be white, and anything above that won't be any brighter.

fair enough. I guess it gives a bit of a 'torture test' to make sure your tv isn't faulty too. if it can handle running slides for 3days straight, it should be able to handle normal viewing.

I hope not, it's distorts the image. even if you are sitting at the 'focal' point exactly, it's only curved horizontally, not vertically, so you don't really get a perfect 'wrap-around' feeling...
