The ol' "we're working on a fix" line. I remember hearing that back when they put out a firmware that busted Smart Dimming. It took them easily 5-6 months to get a new firmware out to fix it, and...

When viewing 4:3 content, if you want to stretch it to fill the screen (I know, I'm a sinner lol but it's only old wrestling) it doesn't stretch properly. It appears to always just stretch the image...

Yup, zero way to manually roll back firmware. This is why people had to go through the fiasco of having their motherboard replaced when one of the previous firmwares broke smart dimming. Pretty dumb....

So, I'm guessing we'll never get another firmware update for this set? I ask because while the last one fixed the awful smart dimming bug, the set still doesn't stretch images properly, which it used...

Quick question, does the "stretched" picture mode not function correctly anymore? Prior to 1.60, using that would allow 4:3 content to fill up the entire screen. Now when I use it, it's like it's...

Pretty much. Zero reason to feel forced into using the Vizio apps when you can buy a Fire stick, Chrome stick, or a cheap blu-ray player for like $30-$40.

Try the "computer" setting. Like you, I feel that "normal" is really dingy/yellowish when it comes to whites, but I wasn't a fan of the overly blue "cool" option. "Computer" seems to be ever so...
