Any JVC model that ends in 10 gets a longer warranty. In this case the RS4910 gets an extra year over the RS49 and X500 (both of which are the same projector internally). The RS6710 gets two extra...

They were selling the 1000ES as an authorized dealer a few years back, but I don't think they sold too many as the price on their site was MSRP.

I think 4K micro-displays in general will suffer from this phenomenon from here on out. When you think about it the physical size of the SXRD panel is almost the same size as the 1080p SXRD panel....

I had this paired with B&W 804 Diamonds. Remember that 95%+ of the dialog is output from the center channel from a 5.1 mix and the Diamond tweeter in this speaker is perfect for dialog...

Hi,

1.) This was purchased in 2012. I'd have to look and find the exact date.
2.) It's roughly 3 years old now and has approximately 300 hours on it.
3.) Yes, I'm willing to ship to California....

Remember that the 300ES has a static iris in the lens at all times. This may very well account for the difference in native contrast. The reading for the 500ES is with a truly wide open lens path, ie...

You're missing the point being made. The JVC isn't bright enough for large screens. As you step up past the JVCs brightness you can't do better than the Sony projectors. There are a couple 3-chip...

I look at the Sim2 Lumis Host. It's going into it's 7 year in age and at the time when it was still for sale it cost almost double the 1100ES. The 1000ES is going into it's fourth year and we don't...

Whether or not this is Sony's "lower end" unit shouldn't matter. What matters more is the price of the projector. For a projector with an MSRP as high as it is on the HW55ES, it shouldn't be an...

Then why are you upset? Also, how would that have made 600ES owners feel? After all that wasn't a "cheap" projector either. I suspect it would have made many 600ES owners feel resentment towards Sony...
