I heartily concur. I also think that the last couple of years have been been atypical. We have seen the advent of Atmos, Auro, DTS:X, HDCP 2.2, HDMI 2.0 and 4K all in a very brief time period and...

I set up the laptop outside the HT so I am not in there when the measurement tones are being played. The most important thing is to make sure, if you stay in the room, that you are not in between the...

Mine has arrived and is installed. My handshaking issues have been solved to my satisfaction, so the 5100CIE was a worthwhile investment for me.

I wont be upgrading to 4K anytime soon either, but it isn't really just 'hype'. You may not want or need or appreciate the higher res, but everyone will benefit from greater bit depth/wider color...

It would create a mess.

Nobody AFAIK has tried it yet - probably due to the cost rather than the complexity. miniDSP approve of using two units together and there is comment on their own...

I really hope I don't have to open the 88A. It is far from a trivial task to remove my unit from the rack and then replace it. And Murphy's Law has kicked in again - yesterday I had the 88A out of...
