You can get a DVI to HDMI or DVI to DVI cable ... same same.
(I have used above with adapters to DVI for the distance noted)

IMHO, it is cheaper to pull (diy ?) both HDMI and Component cables to key video locations than to rely on Cat5 with baluns at both...
