As it is not listed in the Owner's manual, apparently only a feature on the Denon AVRs (just as the Dialog Enhancer setting is also not featured on the Marantz models).

Yup. Likely an HDCP issue with the older AVR. Try the HDMI HDCP reset procedure I list below a try and if no joy, you'll likely have to connect source video to TV with source audio only to AVR.
