Yes, that is my plan as well. Does it pay off sonically to add the rear heights in this case? I don't understand why a 7.1 source is not upmixed to 15.1 anyway. The basis is there to do that.

Anything shot on 35mm and below has at most about 4K detail. Waiting for 8K is pointless as there are very few films that have beyond 4K detail (basically good 70mm and some digital camera material).
