I don't think it would cause such an error unless something was improperly setup. 191 (actually 190.5) is correct for a range of 0-254, not 16-235. Check your CalMAN output settings.

If there is a thread for your display in the LCD Flat Panels area, you should probably ask there if anyone has noticed any differences. Some firmware changes basic setup slightly, and some doesn't.
