I think there is less RBE on the LG vs. the W7000 or the 1070, both of those for some reason stuck out on RBE for me in 2D...

the point is that they don't sound terrible as would be expected. I showed the LG to some coworkers yesterday and all were surprised how passable the sound quality was at a fairly high volume.

I think it's more than the remote. Any 3D capable projector will sync to 3D mode automatically once a 3D is source is present. The US model ignores the signal and goes straight into 2D mode.
