Adjacent to it. My room is set up lengthwise, and the screen is about 18" from the left wall. The reflections from the ceiling also hurt image contrast.

Heh... just realized that the bulb (original) outlasted the power supply. He even bought a spare lamp. Should have bought a spare PSU.

Let's hope my 8100 doesn't suffer the same fate any time...
