It sounds like CapDVHS can capture MPEG-4, but it displays an error message making it seem like it isn't capturing. That might be what you are getting. Unfortunately I can't test this at all, as I...

It sounds to me like that hard drive is on its way out. The 6416 does not have any native commands that will correct errors on the drive or mark bad sectors, so you'll need to either replace it or...

The Motorola QIP 7216 and 7100-P2 will work with the drivers, yes. I see no chance in hell of the Cisco units working with them.

I'm not sure if CapDVHS will handle MPEG4, but there's a good chance that it will. I think you'll just have to wait and see. I've also read that VLC can be used to capture streams, so there's a good...

I'm not sure that the 3510-M is supported by the driver package. I'm 99% sure that the 3501 is the newest model that it has been tested with. The driver just gets staged on your computer until the...

No, it won't. But if you hook it to an uninterruptable power supply you could get it to work. If it loses power you will be out of luck because the DVR needs its cable connection after it powers up...

I don't think "because MAPP/Hollyweird doesn't want them to" makes much sense. If I'm an executive of Funai and believe that a Blu-ray HDD recorder unit would fly off the shelves, I don't give a...

I have never been able to get Cisco/Scientific Atlanta DVR's to work with these drivers. I always get a capture error.

I don't agree. It seems that CBS and Fox both sometimes (or maybe all of the time now) turn on the copy-once 5c broadcast flag, so that seems no different to me than Motorola's situation. If no...
