I have owned this TV for three years now, and I still think it holds it's own and even surpasses many of the current LEDs out there. Even the new lg oled is only a bit better in my opinion.

I think having a 4k bluray player with dual outs will solve the issue until I am ready for a new avr. Really, that will be the only thing that I will need the extra color gamut while watching discs...

Even more confusing, hdmi 1.4 has a bandwith of 10.2 gbps as well. So why is Onkyo calling all the ports on their receivers hdmi 2.0? Aside from the one port with hdcp 2.2, what upgrade is there...

Well I have to say, I feel pretty ripped off right now. What the heck is the point of calling it hdmi 2.0 if there are different variations of it. Shouldn't one be hdmi 2.0 and another hdmi 2.1? ...

What would make you think the hdmi 2.0 on the onkyo receivers is limited to 10.2 gbps? It lists on the product sheet that the hdmi 2.0 is 4k 60hz capable, so wouldn't that mean it has a transfer...

It lists hdmi 2.0 as a free upgrade on that tv. I'm not sure how they would do that considering hdmi 1.4 cannot be upgraded to 2.0 via firmware updates as far as I know. Regardless, if you do have...

Dolby Atmos Question

So, I'm looking to upgrade to an Onkyo 737 receiver, which is 5.2.2. I was wondering if having atmos speakers as my rear channels only would work? Or, to get the right effect, do you have to have...

I haven't heard enough sealed vs. ported subs to make a well-backed judgement on this, but that is what I fear about going back to a sealed sub. I feel that no matter how much power a sealed sub...

Looking at the pb1000 and the xs15 though. For movies, wouldn't I want that advantage in output around 20hz that the pb1000 would offer?

Do you think the XS15 would outperform the pb1000 for movies? They both have a similar cabinet size. The pb has the port, but the XS has the much bigger driver and twice the amp power.
