I get my bulbs from projectorpeople as they ONLY sell OEM. B&H is a good company, but make sure it is really oem. So many deceptive ads.

Probably a bulb issue. Sounds like an aftermarket bulb. Of course any bulb can fail early, hence no long warranty on them.

I suggest buying lamps from ProjectorPeople. They sell ONLY oem bulbs. That other link has deceptive wording "Quality Genuine Original Philips UHP Bulb inside." It is not a Sony replacement lamp....

Da-Lite Da-Snap with Pearlescent material is really a nice screen. Higher gain so sports and 3D will be awesome, with no bad artifacts so movies will still be great. Plus it is really reasonable.

I don't know a 1080 projector that can't do 60Hz. I have to recommend the Benq 1070. A very good projector for the price, and it has just enough lens shift to align stacked projectors.
