Interesting. I just looked and the TV Guide listings (I believe they are Rovi) and they have it listed as "P.D." with the periods. Tribune Media Services guide has it as "PD" without the periods.

And it does take an extra step but nothing onerous and not a problem when one is only ripping a handful of new BD monthly. The end result is worth it.
