Look for glass-structure in the headlights and in the turn signals.
It's also very good for black level testing.

This must be one of the dreaded narrow mastered DVD's. You would not notice this on a regular TV since it has some overscan.

You could try expanding the overlay using YxY.

Some dvd's are more "narrow" than others.
You can use yxy's aspect ratio controls to correct this. Or you could try ZoomPlayer or TheaterTek which has this functionality built in.

This fix worked well for me too, fixing the VD problem.

I have no use for interlaced resolutions, so I have not tried it out.

Using a Radeon 8500 and the 9016 drivers for now...
