I'm getting "Unknown Disc" with the BDMV version, but the AVCHD version on DVD loads and runs correctly.

If still no good for you we should check both the player firmware and AVS HD 709 version...

I thought that did work; I'll check it later today. The AVCHD version should also work from a USB stick.

Are you sure you are using the AVCHD and not the BDMV version? There were licensing changes...

Typically I do MakeMKV and then HandBrake to produce a compressed MKV. Chapters work as expected. I have no experience with MP4.
