LCD's do not suffer from burn in (M-Series or otherwise), I believe at worse they may incur some image retention and if so that would go away after a short period of time.

Consider putting some bias lighting behind your set for nighttime viewing. Will make your dark levels seem considerably better. Then get an IPS panel and call it a day.
