WinISD gives you the option to use any number of ports of whatever diameter you want, then it will tell you the length required. But two 4 inch ports are not the same area as one 8 inch, so chuffing...

You can see the effect of inductance in HornResp, just run the sim, then change Le to 4mH, run it again and compare the two. There's very little difference in the passband, a major difference above...

Using an SPL meter, along with the required correction factors (C weighting isn't flat) you can measure one frequency at a time, and eventually construct an SPL chart. It will take about an hour,...

Maybe. So long as the conductors are pure copper they'd work just as well as anything ten times, or for that matter a thousand times, the price. But I don't see anything stating that.
As for copper...

Because of the distances involved between a typical AVR and the sub amps this is where balanced would be of most benefit, to eliminate the possibility of a ground loop. But balanced AVR sends and sub...

You model appears accurate, so assuming there are no air leaks in the cab I question your testing protocol. Elaborate on your testing set up.

Towers are fine if you have no subs, but otherwise are wasted space and dollars. In-walls have the advantage of eliminating Allison Effect, but most in-walls aren't very good speakers. The best...

I like the last chart the best. Now I'd leave the cabs elevated the eleven inches and try moving them closer to the side walls. I'd also not have them the same distance to the side walls. Visual...

No, because you'll seldom exceed 50w, with 15-20w being what you're probably running on average. It's almost impossible to hear any difference between amps, unless one of them is just plain defective...

Even in short lengths you should use balanced connections when you have the option, as they increase headroom by 6dB, and eliminate the possibility of ground loop noise. In a perfect world there...

You'd have 3dB of additional headroom before distortion in the amp became a problem. But even though the speakers are rated 300w that's a thermal rating, where the voice coils melt. You'd never want...

Crossovers are by no means brickwall. Since the dip is in the range created by the mains you want to remove the sub from the loop and concentrate on the mains, which, BTW, I'd say are too low to the...

Take a measurement with the sub turned off. Also, take the measurement at 1/12 octave smoothing. A boundary sourced dip will be much narrower and deeper than what you're seeing at 125Hz, but 1/6...

+1. Subs shouldn't be run that high. FWIW a dip at 125Hz is most likely caused by the LP being 4.5 feet from the wall behind the LP or the speaker being 2.25 feet from the wall behind it.
