A friend of mine has a Samsung (I think the 9000) it is very nice. If I didn't think a replacement would be needed in a year or two one of the more expensive sets might have been more in the running....

Not sure there is such a thing as a hardware decoder for vp9. Almost everything that I know decodes it via software ;) much like many codecs and TVs its software based decoding with hardware...
