I can see a bit of a difference on camera pans and the like, as well as sports or news tickers, but for the most-part it's subtle in most real video or film content since most inherently have motion...

If you play any kind of 2D-style scrolling game, especially fast-moving ones (particularly those from the 8- and 16-bit eras), I consider CA a must. :p Perfect examples of what I mean would be...

Yeah I was a bit torn on if it meant HDMI 5 should now be color-matched to 1-4 or if it was just a bug similar to or the same as the sharpness issue that had been noted in 1.1.14. My guess is...

Looks like I'll need to break out the meter to compare HDMI 1-4 to HDMI 5 again then. Hopefully they match now. :)

Yes, I have my TiVo outputting native to let the TV handle upscaling directly to 4K. By outputting in 1080p, anything that's not already 1080i/p is getting double-scaled, which you should avoid...

I also received it today. No visible differences at a glance so a recalibration isn't looking necessary but I'll be giving it a more thorough evaluation later tonight. :)

Pretty much - this talk of the Vizio P's being under-saturated has no validity with current content that's all mastered to rec.709. Yes other sets have a wider native color gamut but once properly...

1080p60 sources, such as game consoles, won't really look better or worse on HDMI 5 compared to 1-4 (note - remember to bump up the basic color setting in the vicinity of 8-10 points to color match...

P70 calibration, v1.0.4.1

P70 (sample 2):

These settings are from a friend's P70 that I calibrated (firmware 1.0.4.1 as of calibration). No charts for this one since there's not a ton of point in showing charts that look...

P70 (v1.1.14, primarily for night-time)

This is a calibration for my P70 with 1.1.14 firmware. I personally only care about night-time settings since my set is never used in a bright environment, but I also include how to modify the...

I thought about that and tried it in a test post but the html BB code tag doesn't let you insert raw HTML - it behaves like a code block, except that it also does HTML detection in whatever you type...

Yes - the 11-point settings are the 5-100% RGB values; the 2-point settings are the RGB offsets and gains. The hue, saturation, and brightness values for each of RGBCYM are the CMS settings.

Yeah, I think an index of all posted calibrations, grouped by size (and possibly firmware version as well) would be nice. Table format would probably be nicest but unless I'm missing something I...

Regarding grayscale and the 11-point settings not necessarily controlling where they theoretically should be, I certainly found that to be the case when I calibrated my P70 on 1.0.0 and my friend's...

No sour grapes here, I've been a happy P70 owner since September (and no I didn't pay full price either). :) What I don't like is people basically abusing the system and / or playing CSR roulette to...

I'm not sure that would apply to sets in the P series though, at least certain sizes, given my P70 was manufactured in Mexico. ;) That would be transported solely by rail and thus avoid ports...

I don't think there's any difference in dimming behavior between any inputs; the only difference appears to be Calibrated Dark compared to other modes, something that's still true in 1.1.14. As far...

Something I've found from the bit I've watched is that there may be a bug in the Amazon app not always switching the TV's resolution over to 4K. When I watched S1E1 of Orphan Black, about 30 seconds...

I actually would probably recommend not copying the 2- or 11-point grayscale settings as a raw settings-copier with no way to measure since they're as likely to throw your grayscale further off than...

It sounds like it's just difference in output range to me (16-235 vs. 0-255 as Ph8te said) but I'm a bit surprised that once you told the integrated video (Intel I'm assuming) to use Y Cr Cb you...
