We'll most likely see 4:2:2 in which case RLBURNSIDE is right... extra dynamic range in the luminace is much more visible/effective in black an white than in color... ...

Seems easier, and would allow the sound to pass through the whole panel and reflect off the wall itself and back through the panel...
